About Us
Sankofa Haus is an upscale, multi-purpose event space located in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, New York.
Inspired by the Legacy of the West African proverb Sankofa, meaning “go back and get it”. The space was intentionally designed to bring people together and spread joy, bonding and build community.
We offer the local community a place to host private events, corporate functions as well as enjoy live music, cultural celebrations, social impact & educational programs all under one roof.
Sankofa Haus is the creation and a heartfelt labour of love by Bronx native Michael Eagan aka DJSpynfo, aka Mr.Matrimony, who aims to make Sankofa Haus a symbol of peace & unity from the Bronx to the world.

Where We Are
Located in the Mott Haven district of the South Bronx, Sankofa Haus is the ideal loft space designed to cater to any intimate occasion. The multipurpose 2421 sq ft. space features grid designed glass sliding doors upon entry, three substantial skylights, an array of tropical plants, the Sankofa Suite, along with white walls perfect for any creative events planner.
We are centrally located 5 minutes from the RFK Bridge, 10 minutes from the George Washington Bridge, and 20 minutes from the Throggs Neck Bridge, this allows convenient travel times from all boroughs as well as New Jersey and Connecticut. We pride ourselves in providing the Mott Haven community with a personal and memorable experience.
