May 10th ,2025 We rented the space for our babyshower. 8 hour slot. Leading up to the event, we had payment plans , which helped a great deal. The... read more event space was a little pricey. However ,it was worth it. Knowing how expensive a baby shower could run. Day of was beautiful.The weather was great, even though leading up to the date was raining. Our day was perfect. So many joyful moments. The space is a pretty decent size ,beautiful energy the greens and nostalgia of the vinyl records and photos of the greats pull you in. I did my original walk through with Mike. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. The day of the event we met Nita was amazing. Soft spoken, sweet, and professional as well. Nita is the general manager she made sure the party went well. We had what we needed during the event cool air. Although I had a little over 100 guests and the doors kept opening, the Air conditioning wasn't circulating. However, the space in itself is beautiful. A lot of my friends said they would love to rent out for their own events, which is always the goal. Thank you for making our event such a memorable time.

Having the projectors and TVs meant being able to display meaningful pictures, videos and memories, which was really important to us. The skylights added just the right amount of drama. Whether you want to go crazy with decor or keep things simple, it's enough of a blank canvas to truly make it your own but has enough of its own personality and character where a few decorative touches can go a long way. Aside from the space itself, service and communication are REALLY important to me. I cannot say enough about how pro-active the team was in asking all the right questions, securing all of our event details, providing advice and recommendations, checking in several times leading up to the event and having staff onsite to help with all those last-minute and unexpected things day-of. I could not have asked for a better experience. You truly exceeded my expectations by far. Thank you Sankofa Haus team!

I had plenty of space for a buffet style brunch pepared by @chef_dunny_, drinks served by bartender @rocknglonyc; and still enough space for a bed!! My guests had a great time taking pics!! The main area comfortably seated my 60 guests with space to dance to the tunes by @djverseti. My vision became a reality. I'm greatful to Mike Eagan, his staff and @blueyorkcity for taking my idea and running with it. @SankofaHaus, THANK YOU!!!
